Inspiring Chronic Pain Recovery Story

At just 33 years old, Lana showed extraordinary courage in embracing a mind–body approach to chronic pain recovery. Her journey is a powerful example of how true healing can begin when we address both the mind and body together.
For years, Lana lived with severe back pain, sciatica, allodynia, fibromyalgia, and nerve pain, alongside intense fear and anxiety. Traditional treatments offered little relief, and she was told that surgery and medication were her only options. Through mind–body healing and nervous system regulation, Lana discovered another way.
With compassion, guidance, and a growing belief in her body’s ability to heal, she learned to calm her nervous system, release layers of trauma, and gradually free herself from pain.
Today, Lana is completely pain-free. She sleeps comfortably, travels, exercises, and even dances again — all without surgery, painkillers, or anti-inflammatories. Her transformation is a beautiful reminder that recovery from chronic pain is possible.

Before meeting Lindsay, I was living in constant, unbearable pain. I suffered from severe back pain, bilateral sciatica, and numbness from my hips to my feet. I was diagnosed with unstable spondylolisthesis, a bilateral disc bulge compressing both nerves, neuropathy, allodynia, and fibromyalgia. Everyday sensations such as cold air, warm water, clothing, or bed sheets caused excruciating pain. I was told I needed a two-level spinal fusion and a spinal cord stimulator, with no certainty it would help. After a bad reaction to steroid injections, I could barely walk for weeks. My nervous system became so sensitised that my pain sometimes reached 10 out of 10 and started to spread to other areas of my body.
The pain and fear completely took over my life. I developed agoraphobia, severe anxiety, and PTSD from years of medical trauma. I was terrified to move, convinced I would make my back worse. I spent my days and nights lying on a yoga mat on the floor because I couldn’t tolerate a bed. I felt hopeless, broken, and certain that my life was over.
When I met Lindsay, I was at my lowest point. I cried every day and had lost all sense of hope. From the very first session, she brought a calm, reassuring energy that made me feel safe for the first time in years. Unlike the psychologists I’d seen before, who felt clinical and disconnected, Lindsay was compassionate, genuine, and deeply understanding. She listened without judgement, allowed me to express my pain and fear, and gave me the strength to believe I could heal. Our weekly sessions became my lifeline.
Through her guidance, Lindsay helped me understand the mind–body connection and supported me as I worked through the layers of trauma and fear that had kept me trapped in pain. She gave me the tools, reassurance, and belief I needed to take my life back.
Today, I am completely free from chronic pain. I no longer have allodynia. I sleep comfortably in bed, wear jeans again, and live without anxiety or fear. I never had surgery, never needed a spinal cord stimulator, and I don’t take any pain medication or anti-inflammatories. I’m riding my bike, walking, running, travelling on planes and in cars, going to the gym, and even dancing again. I recently hiked in a national park.
This journey was not easy; it took courage, many tears, and perseverance, but Lindsay’s support and wisdom guided me through the hardest chapter of my life. She gave me hope when I had none and reminded me of my strength and resilience. Working with her didn’t just change my life — it gave me my life back.
